Located near the Veterans Memorial Park and right off the Greenbelt, Kibrom’s Ethiopean & Eritrean Food in Boise has a wonderful decor and a cool vibe. Its menu offers Ethiopian and Eritrean cuisine, including vegan fare.
The restaurant was opened by husband and wife team Kibrom Milash and Tirhas Hailu, who moved to Boise from the Shimelba refugee camp in Ethiopia in 2013. They served Ethiopian dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, including vegan dishes.
They serve a variety of vegetarian items and their menu includes vegan samosas and injera wraps for breakfast. They also offer combination plates.
The restaurant is located in a spot that has been the site of many ethnic eateries over the years. They reclaimed the space for a different kind of restaurant.
Dharma Sushi & Thai
Located in the Belgravia Building in the heart of downtown Boise, Dharma Sushi & Thai has been wowing diners with their menu of Japanese, Thai and Asian fare since 2013. They boast a number of vegan options, including the samosa and Firfir, which make them one of the few Boise vegetarian restaurants to have a full menu. The food is delicious, and the service is fast and friendly.

With plans to expand into more states in the near future, the franchise has seen a three year average unit growth of nearly 100 percent. With a commitment to the health and well-being of its patrons, the company aims to be the healthiest chain in town. The chain is owned and operated by Heidi and Nate Myers, a couple of Boise locals with a love for healthy foods and a desire to spread the word.
Alchemist Plant Pub
Located at 620 West Idaho Street in downtown Boise, the Alchemist Plant Pub will be opening this summer. The restaurant will offer plant-based food, vegan wine, ramen, and burgers. The Alchemist Plant Pub will also feature a full-service bar.
Alchemist Plant Pub will serve lunch and dinner. The restaurant will be located in the former Louie’s Pizza & Italian restaurant. The restaurant will be operated by Kris Price, owner of Alchemist Coffee on Overland Road in Boise. The restaurant will serve organic, locally-sourced food and drink. It will also feature an eco-friendly spa and botanical dispensary.
The restaurant will offer coffee and tea, as well as house-crafted beer. There will also be a full bar with over 200 different spirits. There will also be a laser maze, which will require customers to avoid triggering the alarm. The bar will also feature live music events and sports on TV.
